European Semi-Finals and no indication of Gael
The Irish Provinces may be ashamed of resting again this weekend. The only team that won the quarter finals were the Connaughtmen, but those who didn't succeed Grenoble a fortnight ago were very unfortunate. This means that the senior competition, Corn na Churadh, is left under the staff of England and France. There are three English teams in the semi-finals. Saracens, a team who only lost in the 2014 final, will be playing in town against Wasps, another London team, who won the cup in 2004 and 2007 on Saturday. On Sunday, Leicesters Tigers, who won it in 2001 and 2002 against France Racing 92, will not yet achieve this award. The French may expect the former All Black and the best semi-final in the world, Dan Carter to have a positive impact on the outcome of this conflict. It may have been a hopeful hope for the Irish that no Scottish or Welsh team were successful in winning this stage of the competition.
